We did bread and wine today and personally I thought it was a good contemporary/traditional service: all the familiar elements but with contemporary scripting of the words. Big traditional hymns and psalms, all at the right time. The placing of the psalms is everything and I thought the choir singing the 23rd Psalm unaccompanied all the way through as the introit was just fabulous and us all coming in with 'All people" in response to the gathering printed below. Great.
I loved the way the 23rd psalm was sung unaccompanied. It set the service off in a quiet contemplative way which is what I needed at a difficult time. (which is why i have only just looked at the blog today)
